Hi,
Following the recent release of sweetlilmre's SDL port for the Gizmondo, I thought I'd have a quick go at using it to port the GP2X port of chui's uae4all to the Gizmondo. It works, to a large extent (except for sound, and sundy other issues that are noted in the documentation). I've attached release 1 of the port to this post, and will update it as I sort out the issues that still exist. Please read the README_GIZMONDO.txt file before asking questions - if I've already provided an adequate answer in that text file I will be VERY annoyed that you didn't bother to read it before asking a question. I don't write instructions for fun. sweetlilmre - I'll contact you about some stuff it'd be nice to have added to your excellent work if you get the time.

Many thanks for this port. I should now be able to play my all time favourite, Frontier. It seems to require the executable to be in the uae4all directory or else it won't run though. That's interesting. I thought (although didn't test) that if the executable was in the root, along with the required dll's, it should be okay. I know for sure that the rest of the stuff needs to be in the uae4all directory, though. Anyway, clearly that's an area that needs fixing up properly |

Just realised I had the dlls in the uae4all directory. doh... Thanks for the quick reply. Any way to make the 'mouse' less sensitive? |

Erm... that was supposed to be the slowest. I think parts of the code are running faster than they should do at the moment. Have you tried setting frameskip to 0 or maybe Emu Bias to full CPU for now? Does that help? |

Great work again....
I have it running up to the point of choosing a game to play. I have loads of Amiga games but they are not in ADF File Format. So I must run and find some. PS Will your Wmu work with other kick.roms other than 1.3 as I have others. |

Thanks Critical, another small donation just sent, as I have been waiting for this Thanks - much appreciated as ever PS Will your Wmu work with other kick.roms other than 1.3 as I have others. It will (2.04 works as well, at least), but kickstart 1.3 tends to be the most compatible with games, so why use anything else? Neither makes a lot of difference. Probably just me being hamfisted. No - it's not you. I'll look into it, once some more serious input issues are dealt with! |
