After reading this post, i took a look around the french giz site and once i found the forums and then the giz apps i found GIZBOARD as stated in this post:
http://www.gizmondoforums.com/forums/index...showtopic=11465 So before i start, this has nothing to do with me, Thanks to xenon_soft member for the heads up............ And a big thank you to "Blackhorn" from the french giz site for porting this to giz from smartphone util...... I dont talk or read french so this took some doing for me as dumb as i am................. Load Windows CE mode, then load up GIZBOARD........... If you hold down your "STOP" button then press "ALARM" button (triangle) then this happens: And while thats up if you press "FORWAND" button then it changes from cap to no caps to other keyboard stuff: And pressing "STOP" again will hide the keyboard............ The only thing missing is "/" and enter key, but you can still enter text by pressing "STOP" button to hide the keyboard then press your "PLAY" button to enter the text (Your have to have your cursors hiding to do this, so best bet is to use eCursor and setup a hide button in the ini file for eCursor............) Heres the Download:
GizBoard.rar ( 27.52K )
Number of downloads: 278And the source code is inside the rar file with the exe file............ Just unrar the file and copy the GIZBOARD (exe) to a folder or where ever on your sd card, boot win ce mode and load up the app, then use buttons as stated above................ I think there is a way to quit it right out but have not figued that out yet, maybe someone who reads french can find the topic and get the setting for quit and type it up in this post........... REMEMBER THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME, ALL THANKS GOTO: Blackhorn for porting the app (from http://gizmondo.new.fr/) And xenon_soft member for finding it and pointing it out................. And yes i'm still retired, so dont expect more uploads, should be selling my giz soon............... TheReaper |

Thanks for your kind words. Actually, I didn't know this keyboard wasn't known here and also, I will miss you a lot, specially, because thanks to you I am doing a very good WinCE configuration with my new Gizmondo.
Thanks! |

Cool... welcome back reaper... i knew you would miss us too much and would be back... Who did you miss most? Rwr? Listie of Simdiget? No i'm not back as in Homebrew, skins, etc, i just needed some time out from a project for windows mobile 5/6 i'm working on................. And after seeing xenon_soft post about GIZBoard and the facted not one person had posted a reply or taken a look and done what i have done. Now so meny peeps who car't get SIPKeyboard working can now at last have a keyboard.............. I still look around the forums sometimes, but this was to much of a very good program to let go to waste.... TheReaper Would it be wrong to add this to your list Reaper? What do you think Xenon soft? You could add to list, but i would state it is not a Reaper project, just a heads up (if you know what i mean, i seem to be having touble explaining myself today, lots of C++ code zooming around my brain today).......... Hey Reaper you're right this really is a good keyboard and well worth popping back to tell us about. Thanks to you and Xenon Soft.
We should keep an eye on our French colleagues a bit more often. It's very easy to assume that all the Giz action happens here all the time. Any way I've now integrated it into my WinCE autorun.ini and it installs at start up. It's very easy to use and integrates nicely into all the programs I've tried like PNotepad, NoniGPSPlot and Flite. You made a mistake above by the way. It's the Fast Forward Key that changes the character set not the Rewind Key. Oh one question. As we have all the source code, is it not possible to add the missing " / " and enter key? |

Yeah with the source code i'm sure it is possible to add the missing "/" and enter key............ But don't look at me, i think it's compiled with the new microsoft evc compiler as it has vc project files, i don't have this, i'm still suck using EVC++ 3 SE, for some reason EVC++ 4 will not install on my pc, and my laptop with vista is a big no go, i think i need to reinstall xp on my desktop machine, but its such a pain in the rear getting set back to how i like it, that's why i don't bother, i will one day as programs i dont use to much lose thier registry settings and then don't work, and thats what you get for using a cr*p reg cleaner program, a naffed regersty, its been like this for nearly 2 years now, so i will have to format and reinstall xp at some point But then again maybe i'll just install vista TheReaper |

Dude! I told you to READ Reapers description over and over and you have not done that! I know that you have not done that, because it does not open up, it runs in the back ground!
QUOTE If you hold down your "STOP" button then press "ALARM" button (triangle) That was taken RIGHT from reapers post! Seriously man, READ IT! |
