Well it's p***ing down, so a quick port of PocketAtari for WinCE and Smartphones...............
+ The Emulator section is not up to much so here's my help in hand.................. More Info Here: http://atari800.sourceforge.net/index.html Credits for WinCE Version Here: http://users.uoa.gr/~knakos/atari800/
To run PocketAtari you will need some ROM Files, and of couse some GAMES......... DO NOT ASK FOR ROMS OR GAMES HERE, GOOGLE SHOULD DO IT ROMS NEEDED: ATARIBAS.ROM ATARIOSB.ROM ATARIXL.ROM That will do for Atari 800, but if you want to try 5200 games then you also need: 5200.ROM Be warned that i did test 5200 mode and only a few game run and worked ok (joystick issue)......... This port is under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE and the doc is included in the Rar file..... The Download:

Number of downloads: 107Unrar the PocketAtari file, Copy "PocketAtari" FOLDER to your SD CARD, Find the ROM Files and COPY them into "PocketAtari" FOLDER, if you have some game (.atr format), put them in the "ATR" FOLDER (You dont have to put them here, but its just better this way), Boot Emulator with FireFlys Launcher or Zektor's Launcher................ INFO: Almost perfect port of the brillant WinCE version. Keys changed for the Gizmondo, plus added extra keys to help make more games playable. Some minor code changes. No onscreen keyboard, left it out as the gizmondo has no touchscreen. A good amount of games will work with the keys i built-in, but with no OnScreen keyboard, text adventures are not going to work  .................Have Fun.................. TheReaper

Yippie..... another Emu, and a fine one at that... long live the Atari Between me and my bruv, we have owned, 1x Atari 2600, 4x Atari Lynx II, 1x Atari Jaguar 64... 4 People have posted..................... 0 Downloads................ Now i remember why i stopped porting stuff to the giz, 6 to 8 hours of wasted time................ That may also be why there seem's to be no homebrewers of late............... Make this my last Emulator project for the giz, if not my last homebrew project, might as well just make skins, at least thay get downloaded............... TheReaper

Sorry fella, when I posted, I had only just quickly flicked through to see what ya had posted.... as ReaperRelease always gathers interest.... But I didnt have time to download, extract or do anything other than a quick "thanks" At the moment I am very low on SD Cards, as I have still yet to send back the 5x that broke many months ago... I must get around to it soon, or they will be voided... its only coz I sweet talked them around on phone when trying to make an order for 120x Laptops did they extend it... Just fallen asleep 3x times in 30mins on a hard plastic chair here... so I think its a sign to pack up shortly...  But once I got a spare SD Card, ready for Emu scene, I plan to get this one, and many more... - as I was gonna start to make a Menu/ArtWork for all the Emu's... and package it up (minus any illegal stuff) for a big Gaming/Emu download... as I feel this too could do with a boost... Anything ya release dude is really apprecaited... please dont let stats put ya off... Oh yeah, when is the next skin coming out...? LOLCheers, Lister |

Sorry, bit off-line at weekends, but now I'm straight onto downloading another of your works of art. Atari takes me right back to my earliest playing days (the 400 console mainly) - fantastic. Wish I could do the stuff you do. Remember the old Texas Instruments TI99/4A - still got one in the loft. Had a good range of "Atari-lookalike" games - but I don't think you need trying to emulate that one, probably have to take the main Giz chip out and put a pre-286 in instead!!  But don't go until you've cracked the original Pong! will ya? |

I got lazy and gave up half-way through. Marines are a nightmare, if the leve drops the salt increases and... well you don't want to know! The good thing about them is you have crabs and snails to do all the cleaning for you! |

Wow, sounds like a real dedication job - hope they bring you joy as well as hard graft. I know a bit of what it's like from recent experience. Got 6 tropical fish in a medium-sized tank in March - had to offload about 60 babies back to the shop this weekend!!! What have they been doing?? Shop didn't even offer us anything in return - we were just glad to pass them on to a better place. Or should that be batter plaice? Sick, sick, sick... |
